What this office does

The Harris County Attorney's Office is the chief civil law office for Texas's largest county. It represents Harris County and county entities — including the Flood Control District, the Toll Road Authority, the Sheriff's Office, the constables and the Fire Marshal's Office — in all civil legal matters, and provides legal advice and counsel to county officials and employees. Its divisions cover work ranging from debt collection and environmental enforcement to property tax and healthcare litigation.
