Federal · November 3, 2026 General Election

U.S. Representative, District 2

2-year term

Your one voice in the U.S. House. Votes on federal laws and the federal budget — and only the House can start tax and spending bills.

What this office does

The U.S. House of Representatives makes and passes federal laws — it is one of Congress's two chambers (the other is the U.S. Senate). The House has up to 435 voting representatives, apportioned to the states by population, and each representative is elected to a two-year term serving the people of a specific congressional district. Representatives introduce bills and resolutions, offer amendments, and serve on committees.

Their wordsEvery Texan deserves a responsible government that supports growth, not impairs our success. As a father, a businessman, and a taxpayer, I understand the frustrations that our families are facing - a national debt growing out of control, the cost of living becoming unaffordable, and Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid being put on the chopping block. Once elected, I'll apply the same lessons I've learned throughout my business career to government - never spend more than what we can afford, ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to support their families and succeed, and never jeopardize essential benefits that matter most. That means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid benefits for all middle-class Americans.Shaun Finnie for Congress – Home (candidate statement) — self-reported ↗Steve Toth is a battle-tested conservative who has never backed down from protecting our conservative values, and now, he's taking the fight to Washington, D.C.Toth for Congress – Homepage — self-reported ↗

Money figures are as filed with the Federal Election Commission, and cover only the period each report covers — they are a snapshot, not a live total. Each candidate’s profile carries that filing’s own caveats.

Same rows for every candidate, listed alphabetically by surname — not the order they appear on the ballot, and never by party. A dash means we hold nothing for that line, not that the answer is zero.

Open contest: sitting member Dan Crenshaw was defeated in the March 3, 2026 primary and is not on the November ballot. Major-party nominees confirmed from the completed March 3 and May 26, 2026 primaries.
