Commissioner of Precinct 1

The Court is asked to hold a closed Executive Session to consult with the County Attorney about the lawsuit Landscape Consultants of Texas, Inc. vs. Harris County, Texas, et al., as requested by the Precinct 1 Commissioner.

Precinct 1 is asking the Court to accept a donation of two exercise bicycles from Peloton Interactive, Inc. for use in Precinct One community centers.

After an executive session, the Court directed the county budget office to include a proposed salary of $305,000 for the Fire Marshal in the draft Fiscal Year 2027 budget.

The Commissioners Court approved agreements for Harris County to participate in three City of Houston Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones — OST (Zone 7), Midtown (Zone 2), and Sunnyside (Zone 26) — along with related agreements covering County projects in those areas.

Commissioners Court voted to create a formal governance structure for negotiating the future lease of NRG Park (referred to as Reliant Park), establishing a Steering Committee of Court members' Chiefs of Staff and a working group to guide and conduct those negotiations.
