The council approved a contract with Med Scripts Group Corporation (doing business as Med Scripts Pharmacy Corporation) to provide prescription services to older adults through the Harris County Area Agency on Aging, part of the Houston Health Department. The contract runs one year with four optional one-year renewals, up to $800,000.

The city is approving contracts with seven home care companies to provide in-home respite care services for the Houston Health Department, with a combined maximum value of $4,750,000 over one year plus up to four one-year renewal options.

The council approved up to $540,613.96 for the Houston Health Department to purchase Hepatitis C virus testing equipment and supplies from DiaSorin, Inc. through a federal cooperative purchasing agreement, with the contract running through November 8, 2030.

The City Council approved up to $113,192.59 for the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston to provide Ombudsman Services for the Houston Health Department.
