The city council is being asked to approve the purchase of approximately 2.334 acres of vacant land from the Midtown Redevelopment Authority for $600,000, plus $60,000 for related professional services such as surveying and environmental review, totaling $660,000 from the Fire Consolidated Construction Fund. The land, located on the south side of Old Spanish Trail between Blythewood Street and Calhoun Road, would serve as the future site for a replacement Fire Station 40.
