The City Council voted to close and permanently give up a 15-foot-wide alley running between Fargo Avenue and Fairview Avenue in the Fairgrounds Extension Subdivision. The alley is being transferred to the two neighboring property owners — Fairview Corridor, L.L.C. and the Fred Sharifi 2012 Family Trust — in exchange for a cash payment of $238,059 to the City.

What it means for you

The City no longer considers this alley necessary for public use, so ownership passes to the adjacent private landowners. Residents in the area will no longer have public access to this alley.
