The city council approved adding $127,400 to an existing contract with Lloyd, Smitha and Associates, LLC to fund construction of the Westridge Regional Lift Station and to shut down two older lift stations (Kirby No. 1 Westridge and Main Street). Money comes from the Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund.

What it means for you

Residents in District K will get upgraded wastewater pumping infrastructure as newer regional equipment replaces two older stations, which can improve reliability of sewer service in that area.
