The Court is asked to approve changes to its Rules of Procedure, Conduct and Decorum regarding non-agenda public comments at special and business court meetings.

If approved, the updated rules would also add a tagging provision allowing two commissioners to delay action on any item for one meeting, after which the item must be placed on the next regularly called meeting's agenda.

Outcome

A motion was made by Commissioner Briones, seconded by Commissioner Garcia, to amend the Rules of Procedure, Conduct and Decorum at Meetings adding Section IV.C.1 as follows: At the request of two members of the Court, an item may be “tagged” for one meeting. If an item is tagged, no action may be taken on the item. The item will automatically be placed for consideration at the next regularly called meeting. The motion carried by the following vote: (3-0)
