A motion was made by Commissioner Ellis, seconded by Commissioner Briones, considering all available information, including materials reviewed by members of this commissioners court, and the public oral and written testimony provided during today's hearing conducted under chapter 26 of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Code, and finding that there is no feasible and prudent alternative to the use or taking of the land and that the project includes all reasonable planning to minimize harm to the land as a park, I move to authorize Harris Health's proposed acquisition by condemnation of approximately 8.9 acres of Hermann Park adjacent to Ben Taub Hospital for the redevelopment and expansion of Ben Taub Hospital in accordance with section 281.050 of the Texas Health and Safety Code. The motion carried by the following vote: (4-0)
