The City Council is asked to approve a franchise ordinance giving Grant Mackay Company, Inc., a Texas corporation, the legal right to collect, haul, and transport solid waste and industrial waste from commercial properties within Houston, under Chapter 39 of the City's Code of Ordinances. This is the first of two required readings before the ordinance can take effect.

What it means for you

If approved, Grant Mackay Company, Inc. would be authorized to operate as a licensed commercial and industrial waste hauler within Houston city limits, serving businesses that hire the company.
