The City Council is asked to approve a franchise ordinance granting Synagro of Texas - CDR, Inc., a Maryland corporation, the legal right to collect, haul, and transport solid waste and industrial waste from commercial properties within Houston, under Chapter 39 of the city's Code of Ordinances. This is the first of two required readings before the ordinance can be adopted.
