The City Council is asked to approve an agreement on how previously withheld liquidated damages will be distributed among the City of Houston and four regional water authorities, as part of settling a lawsuit.

If approved, the City of Houston and the North Harris County Regional Water Authority, North Fort Bend Water Authority, West Harris County Regional Water Authority, and Central Harris County Regional Water Authority would have a formal, legally binding arrangement for dividing the withheld liquidated damages funds in resolution of the lawsuit.
