What this office does
The Texas House of Representatives is one of the two chambers of the Texas Legislature (the other is the Texas Senate). Its members represent the 150 House districts across the state. With the Senate, the House writes Texas state law and passes the state budget; the two chambers must agree for a bill to reach the Governor. The House elects its own presiding officer, the Speaker. The Legislature meets in regular session every two years.
HB 4: Relating to the composition of the districts for the election of members of the United States House of Representatives from the State of Texas.
SB 8: Relating to agreements between certain sheriffs and the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement to enforce federal immigration law and a grant program to cover the costs of implementing those agreements.

HB 9: Relating to an exemption from ad valorem taxation of a portion of the appraised value of tangible personal property that is held or used for the production of income.
SB 5: Relating to the creation of the Dementia Prevention and Research Institute of Texas.
SB 2: Relating to the establishment of an education savings account program.
