Texas State Senator, District 4
What this office does
The Texas Senate is one of the two chambers of the Texas Legislature (the other is the Texas House). Its 31 senators each represent a state senate district. With the House, the Senate writes Texas state law and passes the state budget; the Senate alone confirms the Governor's appointees to state boards and agencies. The Lieutenant Governor presides over the Senate. The Legislature meets in regular session every two years.
None of PlainDocket’s curated major-bill votes from the 89th Texas Legislature turned up a recorded vote for Brett Ligon yet. This is a curated list of significant bills, not every vote — see capitol.texas.gov ↗ for the full record.
