The City Council is being asked to formally state it has no objection to two apartment communities — Lafayette Village (4822 E Sam Houston Pkwy N) and Idlewilde Apartments (9915 FM 1960) — applying to the state of Texas for federal tax credits that help fund affordable rental housing. These tax credits are administered by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs and are awarded to developers to support the rehabilitation of existing affordable housing.
