The City Council is asked to approve a franchise ordinance giving Slick Response Services, Ltd., a Texas corporation, the legal right to collect, haul, and transport solid waste and industrial waste from commercial properties within Houston, under Chapter 39 of the City's Code of Ordinances. This is the first of two required readings.
