The City Council confirmed Mayor's appointment of Alvin Johnson IV to Position Two on the Houston Housing Finance Corporation Board of Directors, with a term running through December 5, 2027. The vote was unanimous.

The city council approved accepting the completed construction work and authorizing any final payment to Industrial TX, Corp for facility improvements at various water well sites and re-pump stations across four council districts.

The City Council approved the completion of a street or infrastructure project on Sherwood Lane between Mangum Road and West TC Jester Boulevard, and authorized the final payment to the contractor, JFT Construction, Inc.

The council approved the completion of a contract with Vortex Services, LLC to rehabilitate and renew parts of Houston's wastewater collection system, and authorized any remaining final payment owed to the contractor.

The city officially declined to take ownership of an 11-foot-wide alley running north from Teetshorn Street in the Yeoman Addition neighborhood. The request to reject this dedication was made by two private individuals and approved unanimously by the council.

The council approved increasing the spending limit for Ernst & Young LLP's overtime audit contract with the City Controller's Office from $525,000 to $598,000. This raises the cap by $73,000 for an ongoing review of how the city manages overtime pay.

The City Council approved up to $345,600 for The Response Group, LLC to provide professional grant support services for the Mayor's Office of Homeland Security.

The city approved a sole-source contract with Tactical Support Equipment, Inc. to purchase upgrades for criminal intelligence tracking gear used by the Houston Police Department, totaling $178,500 paid from a grant fund.
