The Finance Department is asking City Council to receive the 2026 property appraisal roll data, certify the expected tax collection rate, and appoint two named individuals to calculate and publish the city's required tax rate notices under state law.

The Director of Finance submitted the no-new-revenue tax rate and voter-approval tax rate calculations to the City Council, based on estimated tax roll data, with an update to follow once certified appraisal figures are available.

The city council is asked to approve Change Order No. 6, adding $82,405.60 to an existing contract with Industrial TX, Corp for construction work on five lift stations in Houston.

The council approved up to $1,000,000 for Alliant Insurance Services, Inc. to provide professional insurance brokerage and risk management advisory services to the city through the Sourcewell purchasing cooperative, for a three-year term with two optional one-year extensions.

The City Council approved up to $113,192.59 for the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston to provide Ombudsman Services for the Houston Health Department.

The council approved up to $634,590.00 to pay Crown Castle Fiber, LLC for fully underground, protected fiber optic service purchased through a federal cooperative purchasing program.

The council approved up to $17,832,589.07 to buy water meters and repair/replacement parts from Accurate Meter & Supply, LLC through a cooperative purchasing system, covering purchases through May 31, 2028.

The Council approved up to $522,010.00 for a professional services contract with Raftelis Financial Consultants, Inc., secured through an interlocal cooperative agreement with Harris County, to support Houston Public Works over two years with two optional one-year extensions.
