The City Council amended a previous motion to add one floating holiday for municipal and classified police employees, and one floating holiday for firefighters, both designated as the 'September 11th Floating Holiday,' to be administered each calendar year under guidelines set by the Administration.

The city approved making the Houston Design District an official banner district, allowing decorative banners to be displayed in that area. The recommendation came from the Director of Houston Public Works and passed with a unanimous council vote.

The City Council approved a $5,623,010 operating and maintenance budget for Fiscal Year 2026 for the Lake Conroe Dam and Reservoir Project, which is run by the San Jacinto River Authority.

The council accepted the completed work and approved any remaining final payment for a contract with Andrew-Jordan Industrial, LLC to improve the Clinton Drive Lift Station.

The council approved accepting the completed work on a large water line project along Kipling, Woodhead, and Branard streets and authorized any remaining final payment to the contractor, MC2 Civil, LLC.

The City Council voted to officially accept the completed emergency drainage repair work done by PM Construction & Rehab, LLC (also known as IPR South Central) and authorized any final payment owed under the contract for work orders from fiscal year 2020.

The City Council approved spending up to $1,369,651.47 to purchase a three-year license for Procore, a construction management software platform, for the Houston Airport System through a state technology purchasing program, with the contract awarded to Carahsoft Technology Corporation.

The City Council approved contracts totaling about $36.5 million with four vendors — Farali Automotive, Krause's Collision, Westside Chevrolet, and The Car Nuts LLC — to provide auto body collision parts and repair services for the city's light-duty vehicle fleet over three years, with two optional one-year extensions.
